Advanced Insect Studies

Hymenoptera (Bees, Wasps, and Ants)

 Introduction to the Study of Insects (6th edition) By: Donald J. Borror, Norman F. Johnson, Charles A. Triplehorn, et al.   

Class Description

This is a series for students who have been in weekly insect studies OR college entomology prep and would like a more advanced class on insect family identification. We will introduce an insect family and use a dichotomous key together to learn how to identify different insects underneath the microscope. This class is meant for students who are looking to dive deeper into insect anatomy and identification. This is a set 14 week class that covers the following hymenopteran families. When completed, feel free to look into series of different insect orders!
