What is Insectopia?
Virtual Classes
Ms. Trisha teaches a variety of insect classes and runs insect clubs for individual students ages 5-12 on the Outschool platform. These classes include insect communication, scientific illustration, and weekly insect studies. Sketch-Along Illustration Livestreams
Every Sunday and Thursday Trisha goes live on YouTube for a scientific illustration sketch along using a microscope camera. If you enjoy viewing insects close up, nature journaling about insects, learning fun ecology facts, or just chatting bugs with other bug lovers... these livestreams are for you! No previous experience is required as you may just follow along with my illustration one step at a time.
Drop by Insectopia's YouTube channel Sunday at 4pm EST or Thursday at 10pm EST to join in on the fun.
In-Person Events
Trisha is based in the Philadelphia region and is willing to travel to your school, scout troop, butterfly release, festival, or birthday party. She has a variety of educational topics and pre-made lessons that she can bring to your event! We can do crafts, activities, and games inside or we can go outside to collect and go on a bug hike! Trisha is also happy to build you a custom program to fit your needs.
